Recap New Year’s reception 2025
On January 21, the RMSC New Year’s reception took place at Stadscafé Weena. Chairman Erik opened the event by welcoming all attendees, with a special word of welcome to the members who joined the network in 2024: ABL Netherlands, Corporate Travel Clinic, Dick van der Kamp Shipsales, and Waves Group.
The first new member of 2025, RSA, was also introduced. Erik then gave a brief preview of the upcoming events, including the Community Lunch on February 4 and the General Assembly on February 20 at Ten Holter Noordam.
Reflection ten-year anniversary
Treasurer Pieter then reflected on RMSC’s ten-year anniversary. He recalled how the network started eleven years ago as an initiative with the Municipality of Rotterdam and officially launched a year later. Pieter emphasized the many events and knowledge-sharing sessions organized over the years, both independently and in collaboration with other networks. He highlighted how RMSC has positioned itself nationally and internationally in recent years, working closely with partners and industry organizations. For 2025, a range of international activities and collaborations are once again planned.
A word of thanks to Ben Vree
A special moment was the farewell to Ben Vree as a member of the advisory board. Known in the port as “Ben de Vree,” he has had an impressive career with various maritime companies and remains actively involved through numerous networks. His expertise and constructive advice have been invaluable to RMSC. During the event, he was sincerely thanked for his commitment to the network.
