Thomas Miller specialises in managing Mutual Clubs in the marine and transport insurance industry. They are UK P&I Club, TT Club, ITIC and UK War Risks. Via their Rotterdam office and licensed insurance company UK P&I Club N.V. the team provides insurance solutions for those Mutual Clubs within the Thomas Miller Group that are affected by Brexit.

Thomas Miller manages the UK P&I Club – one of the oldest P&I clubs in the world. It provides protection and indemnity insurance in respect of third party liabilities and expenses arising from owning ships or operating ships as principals. Insuring over 239 million tons of merchant ships from 50 countries and supporting claims in 350 ports worldwide, the UK P&I Club sets the standard for insurance and claims handling for shipowners and charterers worldwide.

Trough Transport (TT) Club is also managed by Thomas Miller. TT Club is the world’s leading transport and logistics insurer, providing insurance cover for – amongst others – 80% of the world’s containers. TT Club has single-mindedly served the international transport community since 1968 – the year that the first purpose-built container ship took to the seas.

Thomas Miller also manages ITIC – International Transport Intermediaries Club – which has 90 years’ experience in providing professional indemnity insurance to companies in the marine, naval architecture, aviation, rail, offshore and hydrographic industries. With 2,600 members in 110 countries and a worldwide network of support offices, ITIC is an acknowledged leader in its field.

Finally, through UK War Risks, Thomas Miller can provide specialist war risks insurance to protect international flag ships of any type or size against malicious loss or damage by a third party, anywhere in the world. This Club has a heritage reaching well over 100 years.
