Maritime Innovation – Autonomous Shipping
Location: STC Group, Lloydstraat 300, Rotterdam
If you think about the innovations in the maritime industry, autonomous shipping will be on top of mind with many; this is broadly covered in the news and you can find this at Linkedin almost on a daily basis. But what is going on in this area and what are the newest developments. Dutch companies are front runners in this field. An patrol vessel is used already as a pilot nowadays.
During this event, co-organised with Netherlands Maritime Technology and Innovation Quarter, we will share insights and bring you up to speed on current developments, approached from different angles; Marnix Krikke from NMT will give an overview of new projects, Erwin van Geyte – AON – from the insurance industry will discuss challenges and opportunities of autonomous shipping and a speaker from the start-up Captain AI will share his insights to where the Port of Rotterdam stands. Martin Bloem of Marstrat will be the moderator of this afternoon, and will share his view on how these innovations can be embedded in the broader Rotterdam area.
The event will take place at STC-Group in Rotterdam.
