New initiative by RMSC members: A new master class in marine Insurance
Two of our members, i.e. DUPI Insurance Group (Dutch P&I and Dutch Marine Insurance) and the Erasmus School of Law, have taken the initiative to organize Master Classes on the subject of Marine Insurance. The Classes will commence this fall and will be available to ten/ fifteen candidates.
During a two year period, the participants will have the opportunity to follow nine Classes of ninety minutes each, covering different topics such as the basics of Hull, Cargo and P&I insurances and related topics such as General Average and Limitation Regimes. But also the technical part of Shipping as well as the political context will be part of this course. The Classes will be given by both Eramus Professors and Experts in the field.
The participants will be selected from enthusiastic young professionals and students from the Erasmus School of Law. Each young professional will be teamed up with an Erasmus student with a view to stimulating cross pollination between ideas in marine theory and experience gained in daily practice.
The Classes are free and after successfully completing the program, the participants will receive a Certificate.
Members are invited to propose their candidate(s) by sending an e-mail to jansen@dutch-mi.com, providing the candidate(s)’ CV and motivation for joining the Master Classes. We would appreciate receiving such nominations before or latest by Thursday 15th October 2015.
