General Assembly and Goodbye to Connie
On September 13 the RMSC was welcomed by AON at their Rotterdam offices for the General assembly and a joint WISTA AON RMSC gathering.
During the general assembly an overview of the past year’s activities was and the years 2021-2022 were discussed from a financial viewpoint. Also, results from the Member Survey were reviewed, and interesting viewpoints on all subjects were raised by the participants. Furthermore, the general assembly ratified the proposed changes in the composition of the board. This means that Willemijn Putz takes a seat in the board, Connie Roozen exits the board and Erik Witjens succeeds Connie as chair.
From board member to chairwoman
On behalf of the members and the board, Erik expressed our appreciation for Connie and thanked her for her efforts, first as a board member and since 2018 as the chairwoman. The number of RMSC members grew exponentially during Connie’s chair and she represented RMSC with great enthusiasm during events. She has become a figurehead of the maritime services community in Rotterdam during these last years and we will miss her input in the board. Connie was presented with the customary bowl with the skyline of Rotterdam as a token of our appreciation. In return Connie spoke about her time with RMSC and expressed her gratitude to Linda Treuman with whom she worked closely during her time as president. She further assured all present that she will stay active and retain her close ties to the RMSC.
