Rotterdam is the Maritime Capital of Europe!

The municipality of Rotterdam wants to promote Rotterdam both nationally and internationally as the maritime capital of Europe and with this attract more business, entrepreneurs, innovative start-ups and talent to the city.

On Thursday, Sept 20 Alderwoman Barbara Kathman of the municipality of Rotterdam and Alderman Maarten Burggraaf of De Drechtsteden invited the maritime sector for the second edition of the Rotterdam Maritime Capital event. The whole community gathered during this event and took part in an interactive session to highlight the importance of the sectors to the greater Rotterdam area. Port companies, terminals, commodity traders, shipyards, maritime services businesses and off-shore companies al were present and together with these partners, the campaign will get a boost!
