Maritime Studies Knock out Quiz by RMSC for 70 students: we have a winner!
This week was the final week for the 70 students of the Maritime Studies program of the Erasmus UPT executed for Nanyang technical University.
The program consisted of four months intensive courses in Rotterdam, combined with field visits and skills development. For example in scenario planning. Very important for the energy transition and digital transitions the maritime industry is facing. Multiple guest lecturers were invited by Wouter Jacobs and Reinnette, of whom many are members of the RMSC.
Cooperation between maritime capitals
To close off the program, our manager Linda Treuman was asked to give a lecture on the importance of cooperation between the maritime capital of the world; Singapore and Rotterdam, maritime capital of Europe. RMSC is a partner of the Rotterdam network and with this lecture we strive to create more awareness on the importance of the maritime business services.
Knock out Quiz
The lecture concluded with a ‘knock out quiz’ on the knowledge gained in the past four months. What does a white listed country mean, when general average contribution is insured, what is the largest insurance company in the world, what does the MLC arrange? After 12 questions, we already had a winner! Congratulations Abigail! Luckily, we could play a second round, and this finished with 3 ladies (again) as winners.
The Singaporean students will be ambassadors for the Rotterdam region when they get back to Singapore, and hopefully we will welcome some of the talent back for a job in NL.
