Annual General Meeting and Summer Event – 29 August

Via this item, we already want to draw your attention towards the annual general meeting on Aug 29 at the Broekman Heavylift Center in Rotterdam. Quite a lot of items will appear on the agenda, with the main focus on the change of the board; Jeroen Kuyper will leave the board, and so will Bart Hoogstad.

We have looked for replacement and found two enthusiastic people with a heart for the maritime services in Rotterdam.
Connie Roozen, owner of C&B More and already a board member, has shown her interest for the position of chair-woman. In addition Rogier van der Sluijs, Broker with Anchor Insurance, has shown interest to become the new general board member.

According to the statutes of the RMSC, the board members are being appointed by the members at the general annual meeting. We invite all contact persons of the members of the RMSC to this general annual meeting and if you wish to become active as a board member yourself, please get in touch!

Other items on the agenda will be the membership structure and the annual membership fee. Last but not least we are looking for new energy to keep Young RMSC alive. In a separate email members will receive the agenda and more information about the annual general meeting.

Adjacent to this, we will organise a network event after the meeting for all interested in the RMSC network. This will be at the end of the day in the Waalhaven Area, with a company visit at Broekman Heavylift Center. The area where in the past ships were built at the Grofsmederij of Rotterdamse Droogdok Maatschappij (RDM) is now a vibrant area with breakbulk and project cargo. The general manager will guide us through the premises and afterwards we will toast to successful RMSC year.
