The end of the first semester of the Rotterdam Maritime Services Community was marked by the summer event and the first general meeting of members that took place on July 1st. The event was very succesfull thanks to the real summer weather conditions and the high attendance of members and partners. During the boattrip through the Port of Rotterdam, our guest speaker (Leendert Bikker) informed us on the inspiring plans and ambitions related to the World Expo 2025.
After the summer there are more major events coming up:
SAIL Amsterdam 2015
Friday August 21st all RMSC members are invited by Daamen & Van Sluis for a boat trip at SAIL Amsterdam 2015. If you are not on holiday, this event is a ‘must visit’, as SAIL is a very special occasion which takes place only once in every five years. The official invitation on behalf of Daamen & Van Sluis is distributed among the members.
Trendsession unmanned shipping
Thursday September 3th RMSC members are invited for a trend session on unmanned shipping, which is an important development with big effects on rules, regulations and insurance. This session is organized in cooperation with Innovationquarter and takes place on a very special location in Rotterdam. Members will soon receive an official invitation with all the details.
On November 2nd Mareforum Shipfinance will take place in Rotterdam for the second time, after a very succesfull prime edition in Rotterdam in 2014. RMSC-members will have free entrance to this maritime conference, which is well visited by representatives of national and international shipping companies. For more information on the Mareforum conferences see: http://mareforum.com/category/conferences-2015/
Next to these events there will be two sessions with our active members and partners in which we will discuss some subjects in more detail. These sessions, respectively on tax and customs regulations for commodity trade and on education for maritime business services, will take place in autumn. The exact data for these sessions will be communicated shortly after the summer holidays
